Any Advice

Hi There

Im new on this site and woul welcome any help.I have 2 Whippets a dog aged 12 months and a bitch 8 months.They will both chase things but will not finish the job off.Could anyone give me advice ?? :drink:

What do they catch mate? If they're catching rabbits then you dont want them to kill the rabbits thats your job once they have retrieved them to you. That way less meat is damaged. Also i personally wouldnt be letting the 8 month bitch work just yet, she is still a bit young IMO. Theres no harm in holding her back for a while. Someone on here will be able to give you the correct advice but a it more info on what they're are catching would be helpful. Good luck mate Joe

Sorry i wasnt very clear.They chase rabbits and both catch up to them,once they are there they come back to me.The bitch seems to be a bit more tuned in so i could realy hold her back for a while and see how the other one gets on.If he starts to bring things back i would obviously let her have a play with it.

my bitch was the same, just running with them, looked like she was putting no effort in trying to pick up. May just need time to grow up a bit.
